Friends that sweat together, stay together!

Working out with friends can be crucial in maintaining your personal fitness. Exercising with friends, specifically ones that are around the same fitness level as you, can help to build confidence. It can also help encourage one another to increase the intensity of your workout! The social support from others during exercise can reinforce the sense of autonomy. Working out with a friend or in a group can also help for personal accountability. If you work out with someone else, you tend to push yourself to their level of intensity. Working out with others is also fun. Having someone to laugh with as you workout can help to create positive experiences! Working out with others is also safer. Especially if you workout with someone who is more advanced than you. Having someone to spot you or help you fix your form can prevent injury! Another benefit of working out with friends is having someone to celebrate with! Celebrating the small victories and the big victories can be so motivating!
