Though some people may think IBS is intentional bullshit; IBS, or Irritable Bowel Syndrome, is a common gastrointestinal disorder that mainly affects the large intestine. There are three main forms of IBS: IBS-C (IBS with constipation), IBC-D (IBS with diarrhea), and IBS-M (IBS with mixed bowel movements).
IBS is something I have been dealing with since 2018, right before I got pregnant with my son. Personally, I deal with IBS-C. There are many different symptoms with IBS-C. Labor pains, major bloating, feeling the need to use the bathroom all the time but couldn't, upset stomach, and headaches.
One thing that really helped to decrease my pain with IBS-C in the beginning was digestive enzymes. Digestive enzymes really helped my stomach break down the food that I shouldn't have been consuming. I then learned about the LOW FODMAP diet while training for a bikini competition. Some girls at the gym I worked at during this time, introduced me to this diet and it has been a real life saver. (If you want to learn more about this diet, I recommend reading this article by Monash University! https://www.monashfodmap.com/ibs-central/i-have-ibs/starting-the-low-fodmap-diet/).
